I’m on iOS 13.3.5

NX programs are quite small files. So by moving them to the phone storage, you won't get a lot of space. You can check in the iPhone settings how much space it occupies.

Icloud storage space is used for all of your programs, unless you do like i did and go into your settings and turn it off for all the programs you dont need it for..

... otherwise you have to pay for more storage...

;’( I loose all my programs !! !!!!!! 😩😫😫

Icloud only stores the data the programs store, not the programs themselves...

When i say "programs" i mean "apps"

I keep icloud on ONLY for lowres, and have it turned off for all my other programs/apps...

... For example, if you want your NOTES data available for all devices, you would leave icloud on for NOTES... if you are like me, and dont really use NOTES, turn icloud off for NOTES...

I have icloud for NOTES turned off, so any notes data added to one device is only available to that one device, which is ok for me as i usually only use one device and rarely use the other devices....

:)

Actually I can’t disable it, I need both space for <an app that I won’t say> and LowRes NX…

I meant I have no more space for my programs, not for the files…

Do you off load your programs? I only use icloud for ensuring any file changes made in lowres in one device shows up in my lowres in the other devices....

...and do you use iPhone backups on iCloud? This wastes a lot of space and usually it's quite useless (but depends on the apps you use).

@Timo Yes I use iPhone backups, but I need them…
@was8bit what do you mean by “offload”?

was8bit 2021-07-01 13:41

For phones with low memory, one can "offload" most of their apps, and load them back as needed.... files for the app are still retained.... probably not many people take this option...

... all of my devices have enough memory, and also I mainly only use LowRes when it comes to files, so LowRes files is the only thing I use iCloud for... everything else is entirely contained in a device.... as no one device has an identical IOS, the older one has games that cannot even be played on the more up to date devices, and vice versa....

An interesting thing to note, LowRes is the ONLY program I have that works for all my devices... credit to Timo who makes LowRes much more robust than the average app :)
