Hey I was looking through old videos of the original lowres coder and I am very curious what the actual original lowres coder looked liked I know it was taken down because of the community but it would be could to have a version without a community just to see what it would be like and also a archive of the original programs in the community on a website even if it was just the code that would still be cool

Here is the old website: https://lowres.inutilis.com On the "Programs" page you can see some programs with source code, but it doesn't show the full list :(
If I made a new version without community, all old users would lose it, not good. I could publish it as a new separate app, but I probably would have to maintain it (for iOS updates etc.), otherwise people would complain. Doing support for an app is actually quite some work already.

I kind of miss the original super low resolution. Lots of people wanted a higher one (that's why I made it higher in NX, too), but I think it lost its original spirit and its simplicity.

Oh, source codes on the old web are shown only if you remove the "https://" from the address.

Original lowres DISPLAY 1 with 16x16 resolution can be simulated in NX by making all of the character images as solid blocks.... but in wide screen 20x16 ;)

Yeah but you still can’t really make game or demos like stoners delight without some one the old commands like line and circle
was8bit 2020-02-13 14:21
These "commands are easy to create ;)

You could implement your own line drawing, but it’s not easy and not the point of LowRes NX... (I might have mentioned this already 😜)
