Ah, i see the problem... i was expecting a post "on your name" and not one in this thread...
... upon review of this thread, i discovered you posted your first step "here"... and i wasn't expecting it here...

Ok, so an easy approach could be a side scroller, like a regular mario game, where the floor looks like a racetrack, and it goes up and down, and you must jump up and things....
The original version was a 3d approach, which would be harder...
"IF" you wanted a round track to fit on the screen, you will have to create smaller images... like i did here.. https://lowresnx.inutilis.com/topic.php?id=1248
