This is the official sound and music editor for LowRes NX. Read the description in the LowRes NX manual for more info.

Wowzers, that's a lot of work... soooo cool :) thank you so much !!! :)

was8bit 2018-11-14 12:10

I'm abit of a nube.... is there an EZ "how to get started" Guide for beginners who are clueless??

like a "do, ray, meeeee" for a tiny intro theme that i could edit into a game, and the game plays it.... that would get me started :)

Timo 2018-11-14 13:19

The player routine isn't ready yet for adding it to a game. I want to add at least the track editor before. It could use 16 default instruments then, enough to get started. And probably it will require another update of NX.
I'll add a little "getting started" guide very soon.

Ok, I guess I'm just getting really excited :D this looks like a LOT of fun :)

LRCFresh 2018-11-15 07:25

This is super cool! i’m getting an error for “unterminated string” tho?

LRCFresh 2018-11-15 07:26

LOL never mind, i forgot apple won’t let us use sounds yet

BlockHead 2018-11-21 17:44

Now the app is perfect except persist variables

was8bit 2018-11-21 18:44

Yep, even need PERSIST

S3B4 2018-11-21 23:07

Yay sound was finally added to mobile... but for some reason it didn’t appear in my update screen so I had to look up the app to update it. Still. Yay!

was8bit 2018-11-22 00:00

:D

LRCFresh 2018-11-27 02:27

is there a way to make your music play in a separate program, like how you can access the background memory?

Timo 2018-11-27 07:13

I'm working on a MUSIC command to play songs from the Sound Composer.

Timo 2018-12-22 13:24

Music commands are now available since version 0.10

Timo 2019-02-24 16:40

Version 1.2 adds edit menus for copy and paste etc.
Also I reversed the "value wheel" direction. Swipe to right to increase, swipe to left to decrease. This is how analog wheels (volume on Game Boy, Game Gear, Walkman...) work.

BGelais 2021-04-18 19:27

Is there a way to change the tempo?

nathanielbabiak 2023-01-04 05:23 (Edited)

Timo, could you update your original post with the latest v1.5, please? I've attached it for ease of access (your version, unmodified).

(I was looking for a clean copy of v1.5, and couldn't find it without downloading the LowRes NX binaries...)

I'll delete this post after it's up.

Timo 2023-01-04 08:36

Good point! I’ll do it soon.
