Those who have known the Amiga 500 era will immediately recognize what it is. The copper bars were one of the most known effect used on these computers, also one of the first any new programmer could dominate.

The technique is to change the background color for one line while the rasterization is processed.

Don't hesitate to use this code if you like this effect 🙂

It looks great, but I think there is an easier way to implement. I think on the Amiga copper bars were made simply by changing the background color each raster. This is how I did the background effects in my NX game Gut Runner.
You can even move sprites in each raster, this allows some cool effects, too.

Thank you Timo, it was exactly what I tried to do, without find how. I updated my program, now they are REAL copper bars! 😎
