A really nice abstract strategy board game
Now detects wins, has sound and an AI
Randomness is gone for now ):
Mode selection: left for "easier" (I don't know how much easier), right (inverted) for hard (blocks moves much earlier)
Someone told me the left one isn't that much easier, it just plays differently /: I think the left one is more fun to play with and draws more.
Click the cocoon for a reset
Tap/click on the piece you want to move one space forward.
First to have no moves left loses.
Tap/click once after the game to reset
Sorry for the frequent updates again. The AI now can't be defeated by pushing the center immediately (which made for easy wins.)
Draws are now somewhat detected (if both of you don't have any moves after the move. this is not an official rule.) You only lose if you don't have any moves after the opponent moves.
The AI, even the hard one, is still easily beaten by early blocking

cool game 10/10

Ah, the AI is smoking hot now... needs an ez level option for noobs like me ;)
qwaffe 2020-10-21 02:26
I feel you... but one of my friends think it's too easy and beats it everytime despite the game not being "complex" enough (with almost all the AI's pieces in one group.) I'll either try to implement an easier option or just reuse old AI
GAMELEGEND 2020-10-21 02:32 (Edited)
I think a easy and hard difficulty is a better idea
also becuase some people like a challenge
qwaffe 2020-10-21 02:39 (Edited)
It's quite hard to find a balance for an "easy" difficulty that "plays well.." might try though
Edit: had an idea, will update soon

When i play games, I am half asleep, and need something calming like an easy win ;)
Really the only hard game I like to play (when i am in the mood for hard) is SCORPION SOLITAIRE... in my lifetime i think i have only won it once ;)

Whenever i try to run it it says syntax error 'exit'
was8bit 2020-11-13 13:53
Sounds like, perhaps, you havent got the latest version of lowres, maybe?
qwaffe 2020-11-14 10:18
yes, the exit command is a new "feature"

Very nice...I appreciate having the sound in there, especially the one when you loose. Similar to Pong when it first came out. Good job!

Start the game with random patterns (or option to use a random pattern)...and add two player mode. (Just ideas)
qwaffe 2020-11-21 03:09
i will try, but its gonna take a long time for me

I would start with the 2 player if you’re interested. You already have the code for one player and the check for the win...just take out the AI’s turn and put in another player turn with a player ID.
The random pattern is a bit harder. You would need to make a list of the cells available and randomly assign them to a piece location. When you assign a cell from your list of available cells, remember to remove it from the list so it doesn’t get assigned again. To get the same for the other player or AI...you would just need to switch your x and y coordinates. So you only need to randomize one pattern. Both players would have the same pattern to make it fair...like you have it now.
