I just was motivated to program something and made it. But it’s very simple and only searches in the title. Probably I will improve it.

To search for people, we would need a list of users first. Or I will just include the username in the program search.

Any way a search bar could be added MY FILES in the LowRes app? It would be worth 2 big donations to me! :)

I think it takes away too much space though, my plan is to hide it until you click a search button. And also I will try a better search system. At the moment it just filters all topics with the text in the title.
I know the app needs a search, too. But currently I'm not motivated to work on it, as I'm working on other projects. We will see...

Of course, real work always comes first... thats why i cant ever make and post games here... the few nice ones that get done are because i got an extra free day here and there to myself (which is relatively rare) ...
The search ability on the board will motivate me to rethink my titles ;)

I changed to a better search system, so it's more intelligent now. It will get more results which are sorted by relevance. It's still only searching in the title, because the description texts are in a different database table and it's not easily possible to search in both at once.

But it ignores words with less then 3 letters. Usually ok, but “NX” and “BG” might be a problem. Also words must be complete, e.g. “sprite” won’t find “sprites” :/
This is a built in system from MySQL, not sure if it can be adjusted.

Im thinking that keeping the search to title only would be OK.. people can always edit the title abit to aid the search function... descriptions CAN be wordy, include a storyline, instructions, etc..
If people know about the plural (sprite vs sprites) issue, one could always do separate searches for each... its workable...
This is certainly a neat feature :)
