Fangame me and my mate did. In the character select screen, choose a character and drag it to your player square to pick that character. Each character has his own b attack. Before you can use your b attack you need to first hit ten successful a attacks. For more information look at the “how to play” manual in the settings. If you have trouble copying it because the code is too long you can copy it in different bits. Also thanks to Timo for helping fix the menu.

Me-main programmer, coded most of the game.
Gus-stage, sprite, and music designer, coded some parts like the stage select and made the sprites, the stages, and the music.

I had the same idea
S3B4 2018-12-17 11:51
You can still do it
BlockHead 2018-12-17 12:00

I really like it, but I have a comment about mixing touch and gamepad controls. As it's important, I wrote a new topic about it:

Although I don’t think it should be forbidden to switch between control a do agree that I could get annoying, I could make a version the stays on Gamepad control.

It has to do with compatabiliy with different systems.. for Apple IOS devices, this isn't an issue, but on MAC and WINDOWS systems, one has to,use mouse to do the TOUCH stuff, then has to use the keyboard to do the arrow keys...
a MOUSE, and a KEYBOARD, are 2 different controllers... TIMO is wanting the player to only have to use one kind of a controller for the whole game...
I completely understand with an Apple IPAD, it is just natural to use the screen touch and the on screen included keypad buttons, as both are still using the touch screen... but we have to think bigger and make games enjoyable for all players on the system they choose to use.. :)

I’m going to make a version for Windows or Mac users that stays on the gamepad.
was8bit 2018-12-18 03:36
It would be OK to have 2 versions, so long as they are clearly identified... one for TOUCHPAD/MOUSE, and one for GAMEPAD/KEYBOARD
Timo 2018-12-18 17:24
Cool, thanks S3B4 :)
Timo 2019-01-16 20:56
I updated the web player and as expected this game doesn't work anymore. But I will help you to make a new version.
S3B4 2019-01-17 18:40
I tried to make a non touchscreen version a long time ago but I didn’t know how I would do it.
Timo 2019-01-17 19:13
I'll make one for you.

Done :) I made all menus work with the gamepad, hope you like it. Feel free to upload it to the main post.
was8bit 2019-01-18 16:42
Looks and works nice :)
S3B4 2019-01-18 19:34 (Edited)
Thank you, Timo! Its really good!
Timo 2019-01-21 21:18
S3B4, could you upload the new version to the main post? Otherwise it's not playable on the web :(
This website doesn't have admin functions yet, so it's not easy for me to do it for you.
Timo 2019-02-10 17:57
I updated the main program now, I finally made myself an admin mode for this website :)
S3B4 2019-02-10 19:40
Im sorry I didn't do it I just wasn't sure which parts you changed and I had only copied the code because the rom was too big and I dint want to upload the incomplete game.
Timo 2019-02-10 21:17
I think I only changed code.
Awesomenesspeanut 2019-03-17 03:45

S3B4 2020-05-18 13:56 (Edited)
Timo, I just wanted to apologize for making you go through all that uncommented and unorganized code to add gamepad support
Timo 2020-05-18 15:28
Don't worry, I wouldn't have done it if I didn't want to :)
illusion64 2023-08-11 15:25
I made better graphics and tweaked the courses to be more accurate to the N64 game. Hope you like it!
illusion64 2023-08-11 15:26
By the way, love the game S3B4!
