Could be anything : games,utilities, demos…
That’s not only for me, but for everyone who don’t have ideas ;)

Being able to see gameplay, download images, read rules or FAQ, is a great resource of ideas... in my opinion, making an exact duplicate isnt as much fun or as easy as creating your own spin on an existing game ;)

Atari games... https://www.google.com/search?q=atari+games&client=safari&hl=en-us&prmd=sivn&source=lnms&tbm=vid&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjRif7Pt67xAhVDhuAKHWbTC7MQ_AUoA3oECAMQAw&biw=1024&bih=650&dpr=2

For demos, this is a good bit of what I use: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0672318350/ref=cm_sw_r_tw_dp_U_x_648AEb4WDZP1R (Tricks of the 3d Game Programming Gurus)

Well, there are many game genres: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_video_game_genres

Many (the majority, i guess) of them are (in one way or another) violent/survival/destruction based games.

The idea: Take one and convert it into non-violent, non-destruction, non survival based game.

Do not make it 'boring'. If it is an action game, keep it as an action game, but invent something that makes it none of the above.

That is a cool challenge :)

PITFALL is a good example of an exciting non violent game...
