I made a sprite-based simulator of our solar system
Controls:
- Arrows to shift the map position
- A to zoom out, B to zoom in
- press pause to switch planets
In the beginning of the program an array called "satellites" is loaded with the radius, the radius of the orbit, and the mass of the star, planet, moon, or man-made orbiter
Versions:
- V0.1 the camera is now locked to earth so that we can zoom in to see the moon, but it looks like we've got some kind of a floating point precision issue going on when we zoom it to see earth
- V0.2 added planet switching, and fixed a few bugs, the bug mentioned in V0.1 was fixed by a seemingly random change
- V0.3 organized the code, and centered the sprites
- V0.4 centered the map, and added explanations
