Inspired heavily by Ace Combat.
Up to boost.
Down to enable sharp turns
Left/Right to turn jet.
A to shoot bullets.
A+B to shoot missiles.
B to focus on nearest enemy.
Current Version 1.0 (Release)

+ Ranking! (Evaluates end-game performance depending on how you played the game. Needs polish)
+ Mega-enemies! Huge aircraft with special abilities! Two types for now.

Posibly making the turning a bit slower might make it easier to aim

Thanks! Currently experimenting with the controls at this state, but next update's definitely going to lower the turn speed.

As of 0.3, though values still need a LOT of tweaking, the base gameplay is now complete. Expect slower, but bigger updates soon.
Honestly surprised I didn't hit 50% CPU usage. Even so, there's still a lot to do.

Thanks for the feedback! Still trying to iron out the bugs in the mission flow, as well as make a system that handles waves of different enemy types.

This update is taking longer than usual. I've decided to revamp the music, balance the difficulty of the remaining missions, and give enemies the ability to fire missiles. The last one ended up making the game unexpectedly near impossible. Nevertheless, I'll do my best to release this update tomorrow.

Thank you :) New update finally released! Next one will take the longest and is going to be the last (aside from polish). Hopefully I'll finish this within a week. For the main features in the last update: 10 missions, mega-enemies/airships, an additional screen for challenge and options, more music to not get repetitive, further balancing, and a controls overhaul, which I'll do first.

Normally this release would've been delayed, but increasing volume of other tasks I need to do may make me forget to finish this, so I decided to release it and plan for the polish later. 8 missions were done instead of ten, somewhat due to tokens, and mostly due to the difficulty of making missions varied.
It was quite a challenge for me to do something like this for the first time, and I'm glad it turned out well over the past few weeks. Hopefully I get to polish it further once I have more time and motivation.
