Hi, here is your game with option to play it in English.

SB micro 2022-04-30 22:46

Many thanks, Dan !

was8bit 2022-05-02 05:39

I love your game :)

I tried to jazz it up abit, but it messes up the game text..

G-9 2022-05-02 06:14

Cool 👍

SB micro 2022-05-02 09:56

Thanks ! It looks great ! I love the colors. I had intention to upgrade the graphics. Your contribution is very interesting !

was8bit 2022-05-02 12:08

:)

I was just thinking of a way to upgrade the graphics with minimum rewriting... you could probably easily fix the issues by repurposing some other unused characters for your graphics instead of Y or Z ...

SB micro 2022-05-04 07:41 (Edited)

Hi, please tell me which font you used to get the "Y" back.

Dan 2022-05-04 16:32 (Edited)

If you use the Char Designer v1.6 tool, it is the Outline font.

was8bit 2022-05-04 17:09

There is a secret default font on the last page of the character graphics.... you cant see it, but NX secretly uses it... FONT command resets the location of the font set, which by default is FONT 192

You can create your on font set by going to FILE then FONT buttons to start a new font set... i created a new font set at FONT 0 which is the first page of the graphics... you see where i redrew the ones where Y and Z were at... so when you use PRINT "Y" it shows the new Y graphic which actually looks like a little ship ;)

I will post an example of a good fix :)

SB micro 2022-05-04 17:38

I have found my « Y » and released a new version ! 🙂

was8bit 2022-05-04 17:53

You did it :D

was8bit 2022-05-04 18:32

So, i made a version that avoids PRINT and INPUT ... if you can master this new way of getting input and showing things, you will have more control and power :)

was8bit 2022-05-04 18:43 (Edited)

When you use PRINT, it is a great place to start because it is easy to use, but you have to convert ASC to CHR$ etc. which becomes tedious..

Using CELL is easier because NX shows you the character# to use... easy to match the graphic in the editor to what you want to show on the screen ;)

SB micro 2022-05-06 17:44

New version (2.1) with gamepad, all directions (+ SW, SE, NW, NE) and the two languages (french, english).

was8bit 2022-05-07 15:33

Nicely done... it is a very fun game, thanks so much for sharing :)

SB micro 2022-05-08 20:41

2.2 version : ajout du score et de différentes améliorations / score and other updates !

was8bit 2022-05-09 14:08

Very nice, has a professional feel :)

McPepic 2022-05-09 15:54

Good work! By the way, enemy is spelled with only one n.

SB micro 2022-05-09 17:04

Thank you ! I corrected it.

nathanielbabiak 2022-05-12 01:14

This is a really good upload for a first-post - good work!

SB micro 2022-05-12 18:10

Thank you !! 🙂

SB micro 2022-05-12 20:45

If anyone can help me out with the sounds, I'd like two sounds first: one when one of the ships hits an iceberg and one when you're captured!

nathanielbabiak 2022-05-12 22:29

Click on was8bit in cyan and you'll see all his uploads. He's got a bunch of examples that explore the console's sound capabilities.

Hiya :)

I decided to not only add sound, but also added animation ;)

Go to sound composer, tap the button just left of the file button... this shows sound edit.... snd#0 is ocean waves... plays each move... snd#1 is hitting an iceburg... snd#2 is sub torpeded ship
