If you don’t remember the 90’s… the whole Natural Wonders store at the mall that had all the geodes and rain sticks and my favorite amusement: Magic Eyes Stereograms…. then you just don’t know what you’re missing.
Here’s a tool for creating your own mind-blowing 3D-without-3D-glasses images.

I have never been inside of a Natural Wonders store because I wasn't around in the 90's but I would not stop playing around with rain sticks.

The trick is to have a comfortable distance between the picture and your eyes and them cross them slightly, until you notice that something appears.
You can do forced crossing with your fingers, if you want to experience the effect:
Take your both pointing fingers at the outer edges of your eyes (touching the skin area), then pull slightly and slowly until you see the picture.
With practice you can move your eyes without the fingers.

I can use that trick for actual 3D photographs (when the images swapped, you have eye cross viewing or viewer lenses viewing) and I can see the 3D photos just fine... and I still can't get the magic ones.... I do get a headache for the trying ;)

Actually, I was wrong, I can't do the crosseye version... I can do the old stereo photos that require a viewer... I can see them when the left image is in the left and right image is on the right.... and I just move my iPad closer or farther until the center 3d image can be seen....
