Thanks, I like this guy too :)
Keep a copy of this one then ;) next update he won’t be able to walk into the stars

The jumping is a little bit confusing😬.

Currently it only happens if you are standing on a dotted line...
Each cell image controls things... the dotted line is on the bottom of an otherwise empty image, and also allows you to walk into the cell.... you cannot walk into empty space as that is the stars ;)
Jumping is, code wise, extremely simple... you simply get placed high up in the air, and then you instantly fall... it's awkward to use and probably needs better code... but if you immediately move left/right after you jump then you can get up top of a roof...

Also, if you hadn't noticed, you can also use (B) to explore open doors for stuff...

My one main goal with this test was achieved..... using a really long stored background to scroll thru and interact with... I had to use a few "tricks" to accomplish this...
was8bit 2019-02-24 11:55
My last part of my goal is to make the aliens attack... but I think I'll fix the jump first to make it feel more natural....

... if you've noticed, things like doors and hearts and aliens are also preplaced into the stored background, and then become interactive once in the screen (aliens not interactice yet) ... this way one doesn't have to "code in" occurences of things... anyone would be able to simply edit the stored background to create a complete game level :)

It started out as a scroll test, and I decided to make a game of it ...
