The TINT command... BG TINT command will set a whole block to the same setting, where TINT alone only sets one cell..
SUB FLASHIT randomly changes each tile in the play area 4 times with a brief pause each time, giving the flash
SUB PLAYWIN loops 8 times: and in each loop it has 3 steps: each step calls SUB FLASHIT and plays an ascending sound effect ... effectively sustaining the flashing effect until the sound effect has finished
I use 3 steps so the sound effect scales up using a natural chord C-E-G
