if anyone has never heard of the reaction-diffusion mechanism by which most life forms are able to exhibit the elaborate patterns and markings that make the biological world such a beautiful place, look it up, it's just a simple math algorithm and it can make cheetah spots, tiger stripes, coral reef textures, sponge textures, giraffe, hedgeapple, you name it, just by changing a couple of paramters by quite small amounts (+/-0.0001).... there's a reaction-diffusion playground web app on github that is AMAZEBALLS and SOOOO fun to play with.... this program pales in comparison to it....
