I decided to try and revisit my first program on the site and I'd like to say that it's doing pretty well so far!
I've got a few ideas for the direction that I'm going to take this project as well as some short term goals.
Here's what I have so far:
Left and Right to move
A to jump
B to attack
Down to charge soul
You can attack enemies to gain soul (meter at top left)
Soul is used to recover health
Enemies move independently of the player and can damage and knock them back
Hitting an enemy will damage them
