I don't think these are safe conditions to be flying an aircraft. JKJK, looking good so far! :)

Thanky :)

... i reworked an old program, i have a foggy idea of what i'd like to try, but its just a foggy idea at the moment...

If i get a clearer picture, and it seems viable, i will update the post...

I like to take on the challenge of combining two games together into one... very rarely do they work out...

For this one, i have given myself the challenge of making a game that scores and wins like carrom, but with dueling planes as the method of play... but making it viable, believable, and fun, will be a huge challenge (which i enjoy trying whether i suceed or not) ;)

Perhaps a storyline like... "You have fallen in and are trapped inside an inverse space... the exit out to your normal world looks like a black hole, but the beings that live in this inverse space don't want you to leave... "

Gameplay will be awkward... it will involve an overview map with points of existence, and battle between one of your points and one of their points will be what you see up above...

The main map will be like a carrom board, in that you take on enemy points one at a time... and then you morph into the battle board, where you must take out their plane, and then go into the black hole (which will be closed until you win the battle)

You win by getting enough of your points to exit the inverse space (if it was a carom game, your carrom chip goes into the pocket) so the map will show one less of your points if you exit a point thru the black hole

When you lose a battle, the beings zap the black hole which gets smaller and smaller... and the map will show less if their points on the map... if they earn enough points, you get trapped forever in the inverse space

.... if i was a player, this story line and game mechanics would like totally confuse me... especially since it involves propeller planes...

... and i cannot think of any better story or game method... i prefer to make a game as intuitive and obvious if i can :/

Here is a sneak peak of the diminishing exit... you'll have to pull the code and look at the second page of graphics...

With all this talk of an “inverse space”, you’d think the controls were flipped.

Ooo, that sounds cool ;)

When the plane is moving diagonally you should multiply its speed by 1/SQR(2) to remove the 41% diagonal speed boost.

Thanks much, added the fix, behaves much better now :)
