The trick is to try to hit the ball on edge of your paddle if the ball is heading in that direction... keep doing that and eventually you will get the ball past the computer...
Alternatively, you can edit "cheats" in your copy, and tweak them until its fun ;)
Look for ...
DD=RND
And add this cheat
DD=RND*0.9
Change the 0.9 to anything less than 1 until you find a number you like... this will slow the computers response to the ball
And/or do this cheat... look for...
DBX=DBX+E2/100
And edit the 100 to 90 or any other # smaller than 100... this will give your edge-of-the-paddle shot more "english" or a harder fling...
