NX's AppStore URLs lead nowhere

Yes I know. I’m currently not very motivated to pay Apple again. I guess the motivation will return eventually, but I dont’t know when…

Totally understandable, Apple has a bit of a monopoly on the platform they created

@Timo Would it be possible to at least publish the .ipa file for download somewhere on the website? I just had to update my iPhone device recently, for professional reasons, and unfortunately I cannot even restore it from my App Store account. Even after transferred all my data to my new iPhone, I just get a « cannot install the app » error message, turning it totally unusable, which is a shame.
I think with the .ipa file and a tool like iMazing I may workaround that, but at the condition that I possess the .ipa file, but extract it from my previous device is almost impossible…

If you downloaded it once from the App Store, it should be available in that account forever. It’s very strange that it doesn’t work.
I cannot create a valid IPA for downloading, because it still needs to be signed with a valid Apple certificate.
Or maybe the app is not compatible with the newest iOS?? But I also got a new iPhone from work and I think it works…

I can get my old apps back, unfortunately the LowRes NX one no longer appear, even in my App Store purchases. This is very strange, indeed.

Nope, it doesn't appear in the Purchased page. The only hope is to don't lose the device where it is installed.

The things is, LowResNX use the iCloud service and apple force developer to pay for their program just to enable it, even if the app is not on the store yet.
I know it because I have a fork installed on my iPad, but without iCloud connection.
One option for you is to build the IPA by yourself using xcode and disable iCloud.

And you have to know, If I manage to finish my fork and able to provide all the mandatory tools and support to put it on the App Store, I will put a price on it. Because like Timo, I can't afford to pay 100$ each year.

AltServer or Sideloadly should also work with the .ipa

I've got IPAs of every version if anyone needs them! They're all cracked and available in my archive on Archive.org. I saved them all a couple months ago and had no idea that they'd suddenly come in handy.
They can be installed using any IPA installer that supports Apple ID sideloading, and my personal choice is Sideloadly.

CreatorJo, cool!
So what does "cracked" actually mean for IPAs? Somehow Apple's signing is removed?
CreatorJo 2024-11-06 16:42
@Timo
Exactly. The signing and encryption is removed, making it possible to install the app on any jailbroken or even non-jailbroken device that can run it. Jailbroken devices with AppSync don't need the app to be re-signed to install it, but non-jailbroken devices do need it to be re-signed, which is where Sideloadly comes in. Using Sideloadly, you can re-sign cracked apps with your Apple ID. You will have to do that every week though, as that kind of signing expires after 7 days, but it's better than not being able to have the app at all. LowRes NX disappeared from my purchased section on the App Store too, so I'm glad I went in and downloaded and cracked every single version while I still could. This is super lucky.
I also cracked the latest version of LowRes Coder and put that on Archive.org, and if Apple still hosts the older versions, I could download those and crack them too.

Basically, if you upload the unsigned ipa file we could than download it and sign it ourself using our free developer accounts using services like sidestore or sideloadly to install it on our devices.
