When a letter touches the white line, have that letter selected on the digital keyboard below, by touch, tap, or drag
IF you succeed, the letter is removed and you get a point...
IF the letter falls below the white line, game ends..

I find that when i use both hands to touch the keyboard, if you touch one letter while still touching another letter, the one touch won't register as you cannot touch two spots simultaneously....
Always swiping eliminates that possibility, but then you have to keep dragging ... as i know how to type, i am more comfortable using both hands as if typing... but like in a real old fashioned typewriter, if you attempt to type 2 keys at the same time, the keys jam up ;)
