Poor Skulky, he went to bed like any other evening, but the next morning he woke up in hell.
It surely must be a mistake. Skulky has always been a nice guy.
Now he has to find a way out but for that he needs to crack the code of many doors. Please help him!
How to play:
- Move skulky with the game pad
- To go to the next level the door has to be opened first with a secret code
- For this code you have to gather characters ('codes') spread out over the level.
- You can carry only one code at the time. (The one you carry is shown at the top right)
- You have to bring the code to the 'code bar'
- With [B] you can add the code to the code bar at the position of the arrow.
- Use [PAUSE] to move the arrow.
- [B] and [PAUSE] only work if you're close to the code bar!
- If the arrow points to an already occupied slot and you press [B] (assuming you carry a code) the code you carry is swapped with the one on the code bar.
- Once all codes are collected place them in the right order by ussing the arrow [PAUSE] and the [B] key
- A green letter means it is on the right position!
- If all letters are green the door will open
- Press [A] to launch a 'missile'. These are handy to remove walls which are in your way.
- And oh yes, I almost forgat, these missiles are useful against enemies as well..
- ..because they WILL try to kill you.
There are 7 levels now but I put a lot of comments in the code to make it customizable.
Ok, the few sounds that are there are horrible, I know. I just don't have a clue when it comes to programming music. ;)
If anyone feels the need to add some nice sound effects, or even an eerie tune maybe then please do so..

It has a nice balance between action and puzzle!

Here is some music... it could use some tweaking... its a slow variation of the intro for this...

O wow, thanks @was8bit! Really appreciate it. I'll have a look/listen at it!

:)
The piece transitions to new keys or chords.... the first set repeats twice, then it transitions up in the second set...
The last set transitions up twice, and i kinda guessed on that one... so its the last set that may need tweaked abit...
Also, you might want a change in music once all pieces are collected, like maybe a small piece with a faster rhythm...
.... i have already created silence after you win and you see a text screen, i found it was a nice break to have silence for a moment as you enjoy the moment of winning the round... then the music starts up again with the new round...

Thanks again, it makes such a big difference! I like it a lot!
I'm not sure I'll be able to tweak anything though :/
Like I said I'm a music-noob :)
I've made this version the new version and uploaded it.

Cool :)
The music editor is rather powerful, it takes some time to get the hang of it...
The music is entered as musical note values, and you allow empty space after a note to hold that note... it is possible to do more but i try to keep things simple... the only fancy thing i did was add a command code that sets it to play slowly...
Your game is quite fun :)
