This is the first ever game I've made! (Well, published).
The goal is simple; collect coins and avoid enemies.
Post suggestions for the game in the comments :)
VERSION: 1.3d
1.0 - Original game
1.1 - Graphical changes and made music different
1.2 - Intro (thanks to was8bit for it)
1.3 - Changed key of some songs and jingles, changed title screen art, and changed enemy sprite. Instead of getting 350 points as usual when collecting a coin, you get 500, and enemies now take away 350 points instead of 50.
1.3b - Changed the channels the sound effects take up
1.3c - Changed music slightly, made player slightly slower, and changed 1 palette color.
1.3d - very small musical change

Everything about this is so satisfying! The subtle bobbing as the player moves, the wonderful music, the sound effects. This simple concept is so well executed!

phasemontony, do you know how to make screenshots? I recommend using them here instead of custom images.

You asked for any suggestions, you can add levels (current game being level 1)
So at the end of time, this ends one level and advances to the next level..
You may want to track 2 scores... one as overall score, and one for the score earned for the current level... at and of level time any positive score is added to overall score... if level score is 0 or less, then its "game over"
If they earn positive score for that level, they can then go to the next level
Now, HOW you create new levels will require thought and planning...,
Examples, do you add more or different enemies? Do you add more or different coins? Do add obstacles or helpful pickups?
The possibilities are endless... ;)
I recommend keeping changes small and simple and add/test carefully... if you are like me and have 100 ideas, you end up never really getting anything finished ;)
