I'm making a custom Virtual console inspired by LowRes NX, but mostly based of Sega Genesis YM2612 and the Motorola 68000. Here's my current audio plan:
- built in audio controller
- 6 FM channels with 8 operators
- the classic LowRes NX sound chip
- 2 50% duty cycle PSG channels
- a 16-bit DAC
Now my question is, would you guys like it if I make the Carrier waveform and Operators of each FM have sine/sawtooth/pulse/triangle or should I do Sine only :3

Not sure what FM needs to sound interesting. In any case I would say it’s a minor detail you can decide later. Your plan sounds very big!
