Thought: real LowRes NX model

I was just thinking.... what if somebody were to make a real life LowRes NX? It wouldn’t use cartridges, of course, it would rather do something like you connect it to a computer and place the files in the console. What kind of pieces would be needed? Would you be able to code the game right there in the console? How would you do multiplayer?

Usually these kind of projects are based on a Raspberry Pi. Try searching on YouTube for Raspberry game console.

You might even be able to get away with using something arduino based

I don’t think so, an Arduino is very slow. Just to render the screen of NX probably requires more CPU power. There are some Arduino game systems but they are very simple.

Arduino is not made for game consoles, just for robot a.i. Control

Using raspberry pi and a touchscreen should be easy. The only difficult part from an engineering standpoint is figuring out how to get a keyboard of that size in there, and getting it to work

Also you might never find a touch-screen with the exact dimensions of nx, so you would have to have one custom made
