This one more closely mimics the intellivision version, it adds an intermediate step in the “animation” , and the layout more precisely matches the intellivision version (I took screen shoots of a YouTube recording of the game and overplayed a grid with a grid app to get better measurements of each screenshot layout...)
I’m also experimenting with button controls... the red ones will offer the ability to pick up, drop, or use a weapon.. the yellow ones (hopefully) will show a mini map at the left (I’ll abandon the full screen map) or show your stats.. and hopefully the bottom ones will save the game or reload from last save ...
... was wondering if the buttons and their layout will work OK on the smaller phones ....

In landscape orientation the buttons work fine on small iPhones.

This was just a layout test... in a real game i was considering allowing a player to save their game, close the game, then later loading the game they left to continue playing another day... so i wanted to test adding such buttons to see how they would look on the layout ...
One will be able to pick their game, including a hard version with 100 levels to explore... that game could take a few days to finish ;)

I have been toying around with this game for years.. i am sure the design will continue to change until i am happy with everything... not expect anything anytime soon...
