This is a demo of some of the drawing commands in Pxl Library 2.0, available here: https://lowresnx.inutilis.com/topic.php?id=1501
Note that in this version the escape character (backslash) isn't shown, so it's pretty confusing... Sorry - I'll fix it soon. :-)

Thanks for the complement! :-)
I’ve tried to find a 1980’s style IDE for a long time... I didn’t realize the whole computing industry just kind of passed me by, and that the 1980’s is simply so long ago that now they’re called “fantasy consoles” not IDEs. lol

Yea, my first computer experience was apple2e... both basic and machine language ... loved it :)

Old english "s"'s in print looked more like a fancy "f"

Hmmm...interesting.

That’s a crazy amount of code to do that. Very legible text. I should probably have a look at the Tiny Timo Text characters and see if I can improve them.

It is a crazy amount of code... here. Use Pxl Library 2.0 and just comment-out the Arial font roms and uncomment the 4x6 font instead. This code is just ugly

C64 with tape for me...I was 8 and I made a Fighting Fantasy game with the text from Warlock of Firetop Mountain. At my cousins’ house. Parents didn’t believe me when I showed it to them. Family reunion to watch the play-offs. Pile of paper when I printed the code so I wouldn’t loose it when we left my cousins’ house.
I was branded a liar by people who didn’t believe what I was was doing when I was young. Grade 5 I made a poem that started off with normal words, kinda like the Sam McGee song feel, but then I degenerated the words little by little as the poem progressed. It was a few pages long. By the end, almost all the words were fake words that sounded like real words and reading the poem gave you the feeling of the story without the understandable words. It was awesome and I was so proud of it. Handed it in as a homework assignment in school and got sent to the principal’s office. All the teachers had read it at lunch time in their lunch room and the consensus was that I somehow stole it from the internet and just copied it...but they said “we weren’t able to find the original on the internet...but you couldn’t have written this”. I ended up in the principals office and got lectured for it and got detention. Started skipping school after that.
Things don’t change much as you get older. People just don’t like individuals that are “creative” or have ideas. They are threats and can disrupt the norm. Everybody has a different experience I guess.

Oh wow, did you save that paper, that sounds so cool :)
History shows that uniquely talented people are often not appreciated by the people around them, and sometimes not even appreciated in their time... :/
