This is a general gamemaker setup that can be expanded into any full sized game...
- Auto random generates new games
- Auto scrolls near edges
- Status bar
- Items can be picked up
- Simple enemies can kill or be killed
- Game can be saved and played from SAVE
This is bare bones, nothing special inc. no animations, etc...
This is a demonstration showing how:
DATA, GAME MAP, enemies, items, etc. are ...
- PLAYED on BG 0 from ACTIVE memory
- SAVED to and RESTORED from PERSIST to ACTIVE memory
(Special game data stored/retrieved from top line of active memory)

TO PLAY THIS DEMO GAME....
L/R to move left/right
U/D to move up/down the tubes
B to jump
A to pick up
To kill enemies, jump and land on their heads
To pick up upgrades / items, move over them and press A

I am currently focused on going thru my posted stuff and either removing or reworking unfinished games.... reworked ones might end up as a examples, or full games...
Eventually i want to make this into a fuller game close to a very simple mario type game.... but for now its a playable example :)
.... anyone who wants to play with and or use this to make their own game is free to use it as long as my was8bit remains for the system idea :)
