Very first program I made with LowRes nx. Not nearly finished, but somewhat playable. Had clear dark souls influences. Not sure if I'll ever finish, but here it is.

I like the rain, and the play active works great :)

This is really good for a first game!

Jonnywhateva, this game is WELL worth pursuing! Really well done, especially for a first game! I hope I can manage to pull something like this out of the hat for my first game! It reminds me greatly of a game I used to play (back in 'the day' -1980's commodore C64 & Amiga) called 'Ghosts 'n' Goblins', or its sequel game 'Ghouls & Ghosts', both of which were by a Company called CAPCOM. They were huge hits as Arcade games go (when 'Arcade' meant a place you could actually go into, and play games on specially made cabinets - for a price!). They were later 'converted' to 8 & 16-bit computers & consoles. More recently they were available on iPhone & iPad. Don't know if they are STILL there, but these aforementioned games can also be found under emulation. Might be worth looking at for some ideas! Anyway, Well done! Please keep working on this! It's worth it! Best of Luck. 😃👍

Thanks, I'm working on another project right now which I'm pretty excited to see how it turns out, but will definitely revisit this once that is done. And I know the games you're talking about and definitely see the similarities now.

Jonnywhateva, I am very excited to see what your next project will be!! 😃 The similarities between your 'Knight Game', and previous or retro games is admirable! But I really only pointed out those similarities because I thought you might get some ideas from them. Just wanted you to know I wasn't "dissing" what you have done so far! 😊 We can all learn some tricks from the past, I think. Personally, - I love this kind of thing to bits, and you have made a very impressive start here! The REAL TRICK is to take what has gone before . . . and do it even BETTER! Once again, all my best to you, and well done! 😊👍
