You cannot make up and down to win: you will need to do all the race !

You can store the timer at start...
STIM=TIMER
...then do the game here...
...and in the end you subtract the current timer with the start timer...
TIM=TIMER-STIM
This way you could even make the game repeatable and always get the correct times.
