How To

Hot! Hot!

@timo on iOS, my iPad become really hot when using LowresNX. Using XCode Instruments, it seems that LocalStorageFileProvider is consuming more than 120% of CPU.
Will you have time to check this issue?

Have you upgraded your ipad? Apple has already been sued for putting battery killing code and slower running code in their upgrades.... that is why i never do upgrades.... maybe thats it....

Timo 2020-08-21 08:31

But Apple does this to "save old batteries" (to be discussed). In any case it wouldn't make sense to heat the device for this.
When I find some time I will check this.

Might this be related?

moechofe 2020-08-21 09:05

Hm, I'm not using jailbreak but there is something related to an update.
I don't remember correctly when it start, but I think it start with iOS 13.5.
And 13.6 didn't fix it.
