ARCADE FLY HEAVEN…give it a taste! Physical gamepad recommended. There are two ‘chain-multipliers’: one for multiple flies caught in a single bite and another for flies caught within a second and a half of each other. Chain two ‘two-fers’ to make a ‘three-fer’ and so on.
Latest build adds a lot of small changes and polish: ‘slip-draw’ scrolling was added to develop more levels without using up tons of source background space and the novel level tiles are copied onto the seed BG. I cleaned up a lot of the garbage code I was running with since the beginning and smoothed out some of the platforming, adding overhead overlap and figured out how to make jump acceleration stable. The heal count doesn’t reset when you leave a flower now, but ticks down more intuitively. Extra life bonuses and sound were also added this time around. A bonus level was also added at the end for scoring fun.

Thanks! It means a lot, this has been my passion project for the past couple of months as well as a learning experience. I tried the hack-pretty wild. I was like- “how did jump break so easily?” Lol. I’ll be posting an easier version with a reset shortly. A real gamepad is definitely recommended, but it can be beaten on the touchscreen. The nests take 7 hits to drop and clear the pipe. Level cheats are stabilized: just scroll down the variables and find ‘GAMELEVEL’ and put in one less than the Gamelevel you want so that the initial level change sub loads up the correct level. There are only four so far. Thanks for playing!
