XENON - Music Studio

SP4CEBAR 2022-11-21 08:44 (Edited)

This is the fourth iteration of my piano roll music studio.

it's built upon my GUI generator, and will make use of my NX Music API

In its current version, it's just the GUI: there is no sound
Let me know if you like the UI, or if it looks hard to use or intimidating (cognitive ergonomics)

Looks good so far.
I guess that 4 arrow button (under the play) is for switching the moving mode on/off ?
Wouldn't it be better to have arrow keys (4 buttons) which you can press to move ?
Would be easier i think.

Seems great 🙂

@dan that's correct, the advantages of being able to scroll around are that there are fewer buttons and it's less static: you can scroll in between two octaves, this is helpful when a series of notes are at the edge of an octave, in the first iteration I'd have to scroll up and down a lot in that case

if you want to compare it for yourself: the first iteration used buttons, and the second iteration has the scrolling feature implemented.
