So, you know how Lowres NX was the successor to Lowres Coder? will there be another successor by any chance?

We can hope. It seems like Timo has very little time on his hands. You are free to look at the source code on github and make your own fantasy console inspired by the lowres consoles tho :)

No time.

Also I started NX because I was unhappy with several decisions I made with the original LowRes Coder before. These were all "fixed" in NX.

The only reason to start a new successor would be, that the idea of authenticity to real 8 and 16 bit systems made some things quite complicated, especially considering that NX is focused on mobile.

But then I would not only need the time to develop it, but it would probably split the already small community even further. Not a good idea!

I would have some ideas for NX though: Making a separate app for "Easy LowRes", making a stand-alone app of the "Sound Composer", maybe with an own community (but somehow connected)... Basically "spin-offs" ;)

Anyway, still no time for it :(

I think the current NX version has flexible options, power, and very accessible... it just takes time and experimentation to realize its full ability :)

Most never take advantage of NX's most powerful ability, and that is it's abiliity to create new editors... currently only the Graphics editor and Music editor are the only used editors, but anyone can create their own editors if they learned how to

I have a few editors i made... and i have only posted one that i have used a few times... most successfully was for an easy way to create a large word database...

but virtually no one else seems interested in making their own editors, even though its documented in the HELP section and is perhaps the most powerful part of NX

You may be interested by my fork of lowresnx, that is more dedicated for mobile environment.
